Travel Vaccinations

Please return your completed Travel Risk Assessment form back to reception at least 8 weeks prior to any travel date.  This allows our travel nurses to have enough time to review your request and administer your vaccination course appropriately.

If you have less than 2 weeks left before travelling, we advise you to find an alternative location for your vaccinations, as our travel nurses will not be able to facilitate this request within this short timeframe.

The vaccines that are covered by the NHS and therefore do not incur a charge and are available in practice are as follows:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Combined hepatitis A and B
  • Typhoid
  • Combined hepatitis A and typhoid
  • Tetanus, diphtheria and polio

The private vaccines that incur a cost are not covered by the NHS and you will be required to have them administered at another location.

  • Japanese Encephalitis x 3 doses
  • Tick Encephalitis x 3 doses
  • Rabies x 3 doses
  • Hepatitis B x 3 doses including blood test
  • Meningitis AWC x 1 dose
  • Yellow Fever
  • Cholera

Please complete the travel questionnaire at least 8 weeks before travel.
