Our appointment system works as follows:
Approximately, 40% of the GP appointments are available to book in advance. Appointments are released every day, one week from that day, 2 weeks from that date and then 4 weeks from that date.
The appointments released in advance are also available for the patients who have access to online appointments.
Patients are able to come down to reception before 8.00am to queue for a same day appointment.
If no appointments are left for that day, patients are always offered the advanced appointments, if they are still available. If the patient needs to be seen that day, a telephone triage call is made by the GP. If the patient can’t be helped with advice over the telephone, the GP gives the patient an appointment.
Hub appointments are also available at other GP practices
